Target Printing Instructions The targets should print out the correct size on most printers and out of most printing programs with no problems. It is possible, however, that some print programs may OVERRIDE the imbedded resolution setting of each file and default to either the SCREEN resolution ( usually 72 or 96 DPI ) or the PRINTERS resolution,300 to 700 or more DPI.When this happens the targets print out either too big or too small. A target too BIG means your program has defaulted to the SCREEN resolution - one too SMALL means it has defaulted to the PRINTERS resolution. Most graphics and photo editing programs WILL NOT DO THIS but some "paint" programs may .. The inner white of each target should be .. 100 Yard Benchrest mothball - inner white aiming area - 3/8 ths of an inch 200 Yard Benchrest mothball - inner white aiming area - 13/16 ths of an inch 24 square sighting square target - inner white aiming area - 9/16 ths of an inch 12 square sighting square target - inner white aiming area - 7/8 ths of an inch 6 square sighting square target - inner white aiming area - 1 1/4 inch The imbedded resolution setting ( to keep the targets the correct size ) for each target is .. 100 Yard Benchrest - 250 dots per inch ( DPI ) 200 Yard Benchrest - 245 dots per inch ( DPI ) 24 square sighting square target - 104 dots per inch (DPI ) 12 square sighting square target - 68 dots per inch ( DPI ) 6 square sighting square target - 48 dots per inch ( DPI ) IF YOUR TARGETS DO NOT PRINT OUT THE CORRECT SIZE YOU CAN DO 2 THINGS .. 1. See if the program you print from has an option to let you manually set the resolution of the file you are printing - use the HELP file of your print program and search on RESOLUTION or IMAGE SIZE - Follow the instructions and MANUALLY SET THE RESOLUTION to one of the settings above 2. Try a DIFFERENT PRINTING PROGRAM ( if you have one ) It may not default to the screen or printer resolution and your targets should print out the correct size .. Bob Latino Bob01605@aol.com
