Due to a couple of glaring inaccuracies in the version previously posted, I have gone back and made a couple of corrections (including capitalization) and here is my interpretation of the lyrics to "Breath" by Pearl Jam. For the enlightenment of any Pearl Jam fans who may not know (Hey. It could happen...), this song, along with "State Of Love And Trust", also by Pearl Jam, are tracks 2 and 8, respectively, on the soundtrack to the motion picture SINGLES. A movie which I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys the music coming out of Seattle over the last two years or so. _______________________________________________________________________________ "Breath" Written by Eddie Vedder and Stone Gossard Oh tonite began with anything Shadows, light, a warm breath and a scream Oh yeah Oh tamper if you like between the doors Oh yeah oh oh Oh can't expect to go out To go out with anything, anything more Glory's the door A brave man knows glory's the door And a la la la la yeah Life ain't what it's worth A brave man knows glory's the door All these reaching hands out grabbing things Grabbing me Day in day out accumulating Oh yeah Oh I suggest you step out on your porch Run away my son To see it all Oh see the world Glory's the door A brave man knows glory's the door And a la la la la yeah Life ain't what it's worth A brave man knows glory's the door Come Here it comes There it goes When it comes Where it goes Where it comes Can't see through the faith Come Here it comes There it goes Grasp what you can Don't you know there's something inside your hand yeah If i knew where it was i would take you there There's much more than this Much more than this Oh see the world Much more than Much more than _______________________________________________________________________________ Comments?
